Responsibilities

MTSI Cyber Cell team is seeking an ISSO to be responsible for providing oversight of the development, implementation, and evaluation of information system security program policy in support of Sentinel Program for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) under the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center. Approximately 90% of time will be supporting information system security certification and accreditation for MLS systems that support digital mission and acquisition efforts for AFNWC. This position will be a part of the government and contractor team of engineers, developers, program managers, information technology SME's, Information Assurance / Cybersecurity SMEs, and other professionals supporting mission objectives. The additional 10% of time will be supporting and leading internal company specific strategic initiatives helping to establish MTSI as a leader in cyber support and services.

Travel within CONUS may be required up to 50%.

Duties:

  • Review, prepare, and update automated information systems (AIS) accreditation packages.
  • Notify customer when changes occur that might affect AIS accreditation/certification.
  • Perform AIS self-inspections, provide security coordination and review of all system test plans.
  • Identify AIS vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.
  • Represent the customer on various technical review and inspection teams.
  • Conduct security surveys at subordinate facilities and gather pertinent security documentation for inclusion into system accreditation packages.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and track AIS inspections, reports, and responses.
  • Maintain AIS security records and prepare Co-Utilization Agreements for network nodes operating in Government facilities.
  • Prepare reports on the status of security safeguards applied to computer systems.
  • Ensure AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices.
  • Perform ISSO duties in support of in-house and external customers.
  • Assist DoD, National Agency, and Contractor organizations with the development of certification and accreditation (C&A) efforts.
  • Review, track, and conduct AIS training.


Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 3 and Information Assurance Manager Level 2 within six (6) months of the date of hire.
  • 5 years of relevant expereince
  • 2+ years of experience in an SAP environment
  • Familiar with security policy/manuals and the appropriate DCIDs/JSIG/RMF and other guiding policy documents
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners
  • Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel within the organizational geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR) (note - could be extensive, and will include both air and ground transportation)

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or related fields.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active security clearance (e.g., Secret, Top Secret) required

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel monthly.
