Summary of Job Duties:Individual will build and repair wooden structures and structural parts; read blueprints and compute the dimensions for wooden structures; cut and assemble wooden framework; use tape measures, saws, hammers, drills, levels, and other carpentry tools to build, maintain, and repair wooden structures; repair and/or replace interior/exterior walls and ceilings, baseboards, and other trim; assist in the design, specifications, and cost estimates of in-house carpentry projects; provide routine maintenance on tools and machinery as needed; and performs other responsibilities as required or assigned. Will be required to obtain a Boiler's License and be on call at all times. Must have the ability to lift at least 75 pounds.Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include ability to read and write with comprehension; plus five years of progressively more responsible experience in carpentry. Must be knowledgeable of skilled procedures, methods, and practices of the carpentry trade; knowledgeable of blueprints, buildings, and renovation plans and other graphic drawings needed to build wooden structures; knowledgeable of building codes and other regulations for all phases of building and construction; ability to read and interpret blueprints, building plans, and other graphic drawings; ability to provide recommendations in building techniques and procedures; ability to lead the carpentry activities of unskilled workers; and skilled in the use and care of carpentry tools and machines.
