Overview

Provides Configuration Management (CM) support for the customer's software baseline control efforts. Maintains the baseline using automated CM tools. Responsible for maintaining project software and documentation inventory and configuration baselines. Establishes and maintains the CM processes and procedures. Defines and implements procedures for releasing products throughout the whole product life cycle. Serves on the Configuration Control Board (CCB). Produces builds of products for use in testing and in production; identifies and implements processes to strengthen, streamline and automate build processes; serves as an advocate for best practices; drives the development and maintenance of build automation tools; maintains the source code change control; performs distribution partner and corporate client set-ups.

Responsibilities
    Responsible for the configuration, management activities that include identification, change control, status accounting, operation of the program support library, and development and monitoring of equipment/system acceptance plans.
  • Oversees and drives the change management process to include consideration of all change requests, mediation/decision making on the validity and value of each request, and implementation of change request plans.
  • Oversees the weekly customer Configuration Change Board meeting where all incoming changes to the customer environment are discussed and made known to all stakeholders. The CM Lead will open, maintain documentation, and close all change requests.
  • Provides change management support to system engineering, software engineering, and testing teams.
Required Experience/Qualifications
  • Must possess one of the following IAM Level III certifications: CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO.
  • 8+ years of change management experience for technical systems in a government contracting environment.
  • Strong communication skills to include demonstrated success in mediating and managing sometimes contentious communications, whether in person or through electronic channels.
  • Strong project management skills with the best candidates having their PMP certifications.
  • Detail orientation and demonstrated success maintaining detailed records that can successfully defend decision making.
